Weekend

We had a great time visiting my parents this past weekend. We got some shopping done (Can you say hamloaf, ribs, and fruit?), played with wee little kittens, visited two local dairy farms and both of my grandmas, washed the car, helped out around my parents house, and Greg learned the basics of driving a skid-loader. Freyja wasn't too big a fan of their new dog Bridgie, but she definitely held her own. In fact, I'm not sure who's more traumatized, Freyja or the dog. Finally, my Mom and Dad loaded us up with homegrown goodness like grape jelly, mint, beef, and asparagus to stock up our fridge. We're looking forward to some deliciousness for dinner this week to continue the trend started with the cheese burgers we had last night. =)

It was a great weekend. We have some pictures posted under the 'Down on the Farm' gallery.

PS--Greg's jaw dropping quote of the weekend, "It's like an orgasm in my mouth," in reference to a cone of blackberry and graham cracker cheesecake flavors of Ritchey's Ice Cream.

'Down on the Farm' ??

Happy to enjoy a weekend of family together.
Bridgie has been checking many corners; checking to see if that "little whisker snapper" is lying in wait to play in the unexpected game of "Hide & Hiss".
It was an amusing Sunday afternoon, playing "catch-up" with Kendi, Greg, & Freyja, to be sure they had ALL the "necessities" as they returned to Arlington. Quite a tale they could tell.
By the way, I logged in and still can't find those pictures. Did I miss something?

Heeeeeee Haaaaaaawwwwwww

Sounds like you had a GREAT time! Nothing like a trip home to brighten one's day! Coming back to DC with goodies is a bonus! I clicked on your link to the pictures, but it says there aren't any.

BTW where is the farm located?

Love,
Aunt Brenda

Fixed

There was a permissions issue with the galleries -- everyone should be able to see the pictures now (after logging in of course, hehe). =)

Pictures

Wow! Great pictures. I had forgotten how many you had up there. Thanks!

Dog

How come no one talks about how I felt about the dog. Scaring me constantly and never leaving me alone. Big, smelly dog. She didn't even like me licking over her food. At least I was there to guard Greg while he slept at night to make sure that Bridget didn't invade the top bunk.
